The 2026 National Agricultural Support Scheme has resulted in increased farmer participation, also driven by the reduction of the minimum financing threshold, which has made support more accessible to beneficiaries.
Compared to 2025, applications have increased under the following measures:
• Registered basic cattle herd: +52.1%
• Registered basic small ruminant herd: +27.6%
• Beekeeping: +62.3%
The increase in applications reflects farmers’ growing interest in support measures, as well as the impact of eased eligibility criteria under the 2026 National Agricultural Support Scheme.
