The Rural and Agriculture Development Agency (ARDA), in collaboration with the organization HELP ALBANIA and the Municipality of Tirana (Department of Rural Economic Development), has started the implementation of the project “Economic and Social Empowerment of the Western Balkans.” This project consists of mini-grants provided to farmers in the Municipality of Tirana for agricultural and livestock equipment and machinery in the Rural Administrative Units of Tirana.
In Zall Bastar, Dajt, Shën Gjergj, Pezë, and Ndroq, the distribution of agricultural and livestock machinery to eligible farmers under the mini-grants for equipment and machinery has started. This equipment includes items such as plows, milking machines, water pumps, milk tanks, and feeders.
These machines will directly impact the increase in agricultural and livestock productivity, helping farmers in developing their family businesses. They will also improve the farmers’ household income by easing their workload. The livestock equipment will enhance food safety during milking and processing of milk by-products. The distribution will continue in other Administrative Units such as Baldushk, Bërzhitë, and Vaqarr.
