The closing conference of the WORD (Women on Rural Development) Project was successfully held, implemented by UBSHR (Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region) with the support of the American Embassy. The project’s primary focus was on empowering women and girls by providing them with knowledge and skills in the agrotourism chain to improve their economic situation through capacity building.
In her welcoming speech, the Director of ARDA, Ms. Eranda Selmanaj, encouraged women and girls not to hesitate in enhancing their agrotourism ventures by applying for supportive schemes in agricultural and rural development. The project aimed to create economic opportunities for women in rural areas and promote gender equality by empowering them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the agrotourism sector.
