The General Director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARDA), Ms. Ardita Kuçi, hosted an official meeting with the General Director of the National Paying Agency of Lithuania (NMA), Mr. Fortunatas Dirgincius, and the Deputy General Director, Mr. Tomas Orlickas.
The meeting focused on the exchange of experiences and expertise in identifying and mitigating risks, a key component for the effective and sustainable management of European Union funds dedicated to the agriculture and rural development sector. The importance of aligning fund management practices with EU highest standards was also emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement aimed at fostering joint activities, including the exchange of expertise, organizing seminars, training sessions, and study visits.
This agreement marks a significant step toward enhancing institutional capacities and strengthening inter-institutional collaboration to ensure the effective administration of funds supporting sustainable agricultural development.
