As part of Albania’s negotiation process for Cluster 5: Resources, Agriculture, and Cohesion, with a focus on Chapter 11: Agriculture and Rural Development, the General Director of ARDA, Ms. Ardita Kuçi, welcomed the Deputy General Director of the Croatian Payment Agency, Mr. Sasa Bukovac, along with experts contracted by GIZ.
The discussions centered on strengthening ARDA’s capacities to implement the requirements of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and developing the LPIS system (Land Parcel Identification System), marking a critical step towards modernizing Albanian agriculture and aligning with European standards.
The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration with Croatian counterparts, showcasing their successful adaptation of European policies and emphasizing the active engagement of ARDA staff throughout this process. The exchange of experience and technical discussions will serve as a solid foundation for further enhancing institutional capacities in support of sustainable rural development.
