The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms. Anila Denaj, and the General Director of the Rural and Agriculture Development Agency, Ms. Ardita Kuçi, held a meeting with representatives of the Albanian Wine Association to discuss concrete opportunities for financing and developing this strategic sector.
During the meeting, discussions focused on concrete financing opportunities to support the growth of the viticulture and wine sector through the National Investment Scheme 2025–2026. This scheme aims to increase the planted vineyard areas and support the installation of modern drip irrigation systems. The discussion also emphasized support for agro-processing, including funding for production lines, machinery, and equipment for processing, sorting, packaging, and labeling of grapes and wine.
Key topics included two main financial access instruments: Soft Loans and the Sovereign Guarantee. These tools provide financing opportunities with an interest rate of just 2%, as well as collateral coverage of up to 70%, offering farmers and businesses in the sector easier and safer access to capital.
