The Agriculture and Rural Development Agency hosted a delegation led by Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), together with representatives from specialized agencies of the United Nations (UN), including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The visit focused on the partnership under the DART (Digital Agriculture and Rural Transformation) project, which aims to support the digitalization of agriculture and the development of rural areas through the use of technology and the strengthening of institutional capacities.
During the meeting, discussions addressed the progress achieved to date and emphasized the importance of creating synergies between the development of the IACS/LPIS system and projects promoting digital applications for farmers. These efforts aim to improve access to information, markets and services, as well as enhance transparency and efficiency in the management of support schemes.
