The 11th meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the IPARD II Program is being held

On October 26, 2023, the 11th meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the IPARD II Program 2014-2020 was held in Tirana.

The Monitoring Committee oversees the effectiveness and quality of the implementation of the IPARD program by periodically reviewing the progress made in achieving the objectives set in this program. This Committee is composed of associations and other interest groups operating in the field of agriculture and rural development, as well as public authorities. In addition to the members of the Monitoring Committee and the IPARD structures, representatives of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, as well as donor organizations were also present at the meeting.

During the 11th meeting of the Monitoring Committee, issues related to the implementation of the IPARD II Program were discussed, such as the IPARD management and control system, the implementation of IPARD II, activities related to the communication and visibility of the IPARD II Program, progress in defining the evaluation activities of this program, and plans for IPARD III.

The IPARD II Program 2014-2020 started in 2018. This program has provided opportunities for producers and agri-processors to directly benefit from grants, as well as for all rural areas where these investments have been established and are accessible.

So far, 485 active contracts have been signed, totaling 83.6 million euros of public contribution, supporting: collection points, agro-processing factories, investments in agricultural machinery and increased planting areas, investments in agrotourism facilities, investments in cattle farms, investments in wineries and vineyards, investments in greenhouses, and investments in renewable energy.
