A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Agriculture and Rural Development Agency and the State Authority for Geospatial Information for the establishment and development of the Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS), part of the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS).
The agreement aims to strengthen institutional cooperation and ensure the effective exchange of geospatial data, including orthophotos, satellite imagery, and reference layers, in line with national standards and the requirements of the EU Common Agricultural Policy.
The cooperation includes:
▪️ development of LPIS reference layers;
▪️ use of the National Geoportal for data exchange;
▪️ strengthening of technical capacities;
▪️ support for the LPIS pilot phase in Berat and the nationwide rollout of the system
